In just four short days, we pack up, load the bus, and hit the road again. Our two semi's are already are already packed and ready for Houston, our first event of the spring tour.

2012. It’s here. 2011 is no more.
As I look back on 2011, I am amazed. Amazed at where the Lord has brought me. A year ago, I would have never thought that I would have done half the things that I did in this one year, and in particular, the past four months being on the Acquire the Fire tour. It’s incredible to think about. Wow. We serve a good God.
I’ve been thinking about how faithful He is. I believe I could safely say that the year of 2011 has been one of the best years of my life so far. And you know why that is? It’s because I learned to step out in faith, trust the Lord, and place my future in His hands, and as a result, I was able to follow Him. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.” (Prov. 3:5-6)
And what an adventure it has been! Traveling over 14,000 miles less than four months, touching the Atlantic ocean, tasting the Pacific ocean, living with 33 crazy people, working with VIP’s, watching thousands of different people in arenas every weekend, exploring new cities, seeing exciting sites across the US and Canada…. Who would have ever thought?
Though it is also safe to say that this has been one of the hardest years I have had. The fall tour with Acquire the fire has been challenging. Definitely. I have never worked longer hours. I have never functioned on such little sleep. I have never had so much responsibility. It hasn't been a stroll in the park. But it is the most rewarding work I have ever done. Every weekend this fall, I had the privilege of seeing God work mightily in teenagers lives…and across the entire country!
And every weekend, He showed up in a different way.
I’ve experienced firsthand how God meets each person where they are at….including me.
Ahh man, I am so excited to see what 2012 and the spring tour will bring!

About a year ago, two of my roommates and I came up with a song together. We always talked about recording it, but somehow it never happened.
Just before Christmas break, we were all back on campus. Somehow, we managed to get together, practice, and finally get around to recording it!
And in the process, a new song was born! ...So, we recorded that one, too. :)

While we travel in between events, we get to have a lot of fun. So! Here's a post dedicated to all the fun times we've had in the last month. ;)

Oops. I'm bad at this whole blogging thing. =/
So...I was hoping to post on this blog like once a week but...FAIL! It's been like four weeks. Oops. =/
But the past four weeks have been some of the most exciting weeks of my life. It's crazy to think that I am actually getting in the habit of traveling from city to city, sleeping on a bus and staying at strangers' homes, living out of a suitcase, working long during every weekend, etc! And I have enjoyed every moment of it. We may work long and hard every weekend, but seeing broken teenagers in the presence of God makes every moment well worth it.

I think this past weekend in Chicago was my favorite event so far. My highlight from the weekend was on Saturday evening towards the end of the event. I had finished up with a lot of the details of my job and had some time to catch the last few minutes of the worship session. I walked in the auditorium, and it was completely dark. The lights were turned down low and the big screens were turned off. Almost all of the 2,700 people in there had their hands raised and many were on their knees with tears streaming down their faces. As one voice, they were all singing.... "I love you, I love you, I love you...Jesus, Jesus." It was so beautiful. All show was set aside. No one cared who was watching them. At that moment, they only cared about worshipping their Creator.
Yep, moments like that make me so happy that I am on the ministry team. Definitely makes it worth it. :)

We made it!!!
Well, it is official. We have started the tour!
On Friday night, we departed from the great state of Texas and began our journey north. (Thank the Lord for finally getting out of that hot, dry miserable south....;)
Before we left, the ministry and the staff of Acquire the Fire had a night of prayer and worship for us, and commissioned us before we loaded the bus. It was so powerful, and such a sweet time in God's presence. We left feeling ready, empowered, and equipped to carry the truth across the nation. It was awesome!
So at about 9:30 Friday night, we loaded up the bus and left! After about an hour, the excitement of being on the bus finally wore off and we went to bed and got some long, glorious sleep. Yep, it was very nice. :) In case you have never seen a bus with beds in it, this is what it looks like.....I had never seen anything like it before...

| Two rows of bunks. Fun stuff! When everyone woke up on Saturday morning, we had a relaxing morning of just hanging out in the bus and reading. It was awesome because a lot of us were reading Scripture out loud. I love how my team loves the Word of God. It was all you could hear on the bus!  We spent a relaxing Saturday at a home in Tennesee, and after another night of traveling, we finally made it to our destination: MASSACHUSETTS!  We made it!!!  Now we're just hanging out, chilling, relaxing, and enjoying the beautiful Northern weather. (it's so nice. ahhh. and real grass, too.) :) Tomorrow, we load in to the venue, and being a long hard tech week. And on Friday, our first event begins! :D |

Still in Pre-Production...Load Out...Load In...Two Weeks til Our First Event!
It's Saturday morning, and since I woke up a little early and we don't have to pre-production til 9:30, I thought I'd post a little update!
We have a big day ahead of us today! Last night, we had load out...basically, we tore down all of our work, got it packed up, and loaded it onto the trucks. We did it in a little over three hours, so we were pretty excited about that. Unfortunetly, it will be a little more difficult when we do it in a real arena after an event since everything will be a lot more spread out... but we still feel pretty accomplished with our time. And we will get better with practice.
And now today, we get to redo everything we un-did last night! We are going to load back in. :)
